I’m sitting in the marquee, watching the children of Chudleigh Primary School getting up close to the inhabitants of The Dartmoor Birds of Prey Centre. This is pretty much the first time I’ve sat down since Chudfest started last Friday; so I thought it was a good time for a mid-term report. Here are the highlights of the first four days:
Red, White and Blue Ball: nearly 100 people dressed to impress and had a great evening of food, drink, magic and dancing – plus raffle prizes drawn by our patron Judi Spiers.
Community Church Service: around 80 people gathered in the marquee on Sunday morning for the service organised jointly by the Baptists and the Parish Church.
Great Chudleigh Bake-Off: Hundreds of families flocked to the Play park for this great event, run by the Pre-School. There were some wonderful cakes, which were eagerly snapped up by adults and kids alone, once the judging was finished.
Monday Night Quiz: always a favourite part of the week, last night was no exception, with more than 110 people in 20 teams answering questions on sport, books and films, songs from the shows and Bond girl actresses among other things.
There are loads more pictures on FaceBook. And there’s another 7 days to go. So come on down and join in the fun.
