Fast forward to the last evening of the Chudfest calendar: you can pop along to the Parish Church and let your ears be delighted by an evening of music from 7pm. This concert celebrates all styles of music and is organised by Ellie Rowles.
The evening is free, but donations are invited in aid of mental health awareness and MIND. What a wonderful finish for our week of fun! Get all the details by clicking here.
The brochures have been printed; we’ve collected them; stuffed the flyers in them (thanks, team); and Tom has loaded them into his car. In fact, the first few are being delivered as I type. (If you hear something coming through your letterbox as you read this, it could well be your copy.)
And if you prefer your information electronically, you can find a link to the full brochure on the Summer Festival page.
The competition to design the cover for this year’s Chudfest brochure is now closed. Many thanks to everyone who entered; we will be announcing the winner very shortly. The brochure is currently being prepared and will be with you towards the end of next month.
And in the meantime, the Save the Date leaflet is being delivered to all the houses in town over the next few days. This is your chance to see what’s on the programme and get the key dates in your diaries. We’ve got some exciting new events coming up, plus a whole load of old favourites (and I don’t just mean the Committee Members!).
It may not seem like it, especially when we’re being battered by wind and rain, but summer’s just around the corner. You are going to hear a lot more from us over the next three months. Here’s to another great Summer Festival.
One of the new events in last year’s Chudfest was the Singalong evening hosted by Chudleigh Community Choir. A small, but very enthusiastic audience joined in with a programme of well known songs from the musicals, the pop charts and elsewhere. In fact, so vocal was the crowd that when the prepared programme was finished, we paused to refill our glasses, then started all over with another set of songs. Continue reading →
