Evening session (19.00 onwards)

Dr Todd Gray is an historian of Devon, based at the University of Exeter. He is the author of Lest Devon Forgets – Sacrifice and the Creation of Great War Memorials. In conversation with Sharon Cook, he will talk about what attracts an American academic to the history of our county.

Kate Adie is an author and broadcaster, well known for her long service as the BBC’s Chief News Correspondent. She presents From Our Own Correspondent on BBC Radio 4 and is the author of several bestselling books including Fighting on the Home Front: the legacy of women in World War I.
